On October 17, 2025, the "Green Finance and Sustainable Development Conference cum Pudong New Area Innovation Promotion Conference" was held in Shanghai. The conference brought together representatives from government departments, domestic and foreign financial institutions, international organizations, and scientific research institutions to explore the coordinated development path of green finance innovation and climate resilience. At the conference, Huzhou Green Finance and Sustainable Development Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as "Huzhou Green Finance Institute") released the Climate Adaptation and Resilience Finance Opportunities in China (hereinafter referred to as the "Report"). Starting from perspectives such as climate physical risks, adaptation capital demand and benefit assessment of key industries and regions, the Report provides guidance and reference for climate adaptation investment and financing in China. This Report is supported by the "Climate Resilient Finance Project" of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) under the World Bank Group.
