Background
As China enters the 15th Five-Year Plan period, the green transition is accelerating across key areas including industry, energy, ecology and finance. The Plan for Advancing the Beautiful China Initiative During the 15th Five-Year Plan Period calls for accelerating the green transformation of economic and social development, while green finance is moving from policy and market framework development towards deeper implementation. A key challenge is to translate institutional innovation into market momentum and national strategies into local, financial and corporate action. As the birthplace of the concept that “lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets” and one of China’s first national green finance reform and innovation pilot zones, Huzhou has a strong foundation for pioneering green finance practices.
This salon is the second event in the "Beautiful China · Green Finance Dialogue" series. Under the theme "Green Finance Enabling the Comprehensive Green Transition during the 15th Five-Year Plan Period”, it focuses on nature finance innovation and corporate sustainability, covering ecological product value realization, biodiversity finance, zero-carbon transition, corporate ESG practices, and the international expansion of green industries and businesses. Representatives from government, industry, academia and research institutions will discuss practical pathways for green finance to support local green transition and corporate sustainable development, contributing practical experience to the Beautiful China Initiative during the 15th Five-Year Plan period.
