Recently, Deqing County Xiazhu Lake Wetland Tourism Development Co., Ltd. and Zhejiang Jun’anli Cultural and Tourism Development Co., Ltd., two subsidiaries under Deqing County Cultural Tourism Development Group Co., Ltd. secured RMB 200 million and RMB 30 million in loans from Huzhou Branch respectively, dedicated to biodiversity conservation, daily maintenance and operational expenses in scenic areas.
Xiazhu Lake National Wetland Park, situated in southeast Deqing County, sprawls over 36 square kilometers. Its waters are dotted with over 600 islets and crisscrossed by a thousand piers. The Park flourishes with more than 800 species of flora and fauna, dominated by broadleaf evergreen forests, hosting over 500 species of plants. Notably, the Park shelters first-class, second-class and third-class protected plants such as Ginkgo biloba, Metasequoia glyptostroboides, Pseudolarix amabilis, Liriodendron chinense, Taxus wallichiana, Litsea auriculata, Phoebe chekiangensis, and wild soybean (the "Panda" of plants). Among a total of 377 species of wildlife animals, there are over 160 rare bird species and more than 20 protected bird species, highlighted by the Crested Ibis (the "Panda" of birds). The number of little egrets, a second-class protected wild bird, reaches more than 10,000.

In recent years, it has intensified multifaceted support for biodiversity conservation projects, and offered benefits like expedited green approvals, preferential loan rates, and uncapped credit limits. Designated as the inaugural "Green Finance Innovation Demonstration Branch" of Huxia Bank this January, Huzhou Branch is committed to promoting the active role of finance in eco-friendly, sustainable, green and inclusive development, accelerating deployment in biodiversity conservation with enhanced investments. Since the start of this year, it has financed several biodiversity projects including Changxing Datang Tribute Tea Park and Xianshan Lake Wetland National Park. Upon recognizing the financing needs of Deqing County Cultural Tourism Development Group Co., Ltd.'s subsidiaries, Huzhou Deqing Sub-branch promptly engaged in continuous follow-up visits and tailored credit plans. Backed by upper branches, two loans were swiftly secured recently, aiming at advancing biodiversity conservation in Xiazhu Lake National Wetland Park and Jun'anli Resort.
The loans to Xiazhu Lake National Wetland Park and Jun'anli Resort signify a pivotal measure by Huzhou Branch to contribute to biodiversity conservation in Huzhou's key areas through green credit, thereby crafting a highlighted case for eco-friendly ventures. It marks a vital stride in pioneering green finance pathways, underscoring the Bank's capability and resolve in excelling at green finance endeavors. In the onward journey, Huzhou Branch will remain steadfast in the ethos of "See a Beautiful China in Huzhou, Demonstrate the Strongest Commitment in Huaxia", intensify explorations and innovations in biodiversity finance, utilizes "Huaxia Commitment" to empower and support the construction of Huzhou as a national green finance reform and innovation pilot zone.
