Recently, Huzhou's pilot project of the standardized ESG evaluation for MSEs was notably chosen as the Province's exclusive representative in the list of pilot projects for the comprehensive standardization of social management and public services, released by the Standardization Administration of the People's Republic of China (SAC) and PBOC. This pilot project endeavors to establish a model for ESG evaluation with distinct Huzhou characteristics, solidifying the foundations of green finance reforms, driving sustainable development, and strengthening environmental, social and governance performance management of clients for domestic financial institutions, thereby promoting a broad green transition across China's economic and social landscape.
Moving forward, the City will adhere to the Pilot Regulations on Comprehensive Standardization of Social Management and Public Services (Trial) to advance the green finance standard system, iteratively enhance Huzhou's ESG evaluation models and digital platforms, foster ESG-linked financial product innovation and development among financial institutions, and facilitate green and sustainable growth among MSEs.
