Join us at the upcoming CASI in-person event, entitled "Empowering Sustainability and Prosperity in Asia: Innovative Financial Solutions for Connectivity and Transition",happening on June 24-28, 2024, in Hong Kong and Huzhou, China. This CASI event will gather 300 global leaders, policymakers, financial experts, and business practitioners to have an enriching dialogue on sustainable finance for Asia, with a special focus on Southeast, Central, and East Asia.
This CASI event includes two parts：
The first part will be held in Hong Kong in the form of in-house workshops from June 24-25. This part is supported by the OECD-UNDP Sustainable Infrastructure Program in Asia, co-hosted by CASI, the Institute of Finance and Sustainability, Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) Infrastructure Financing Facilitation Office (IFFO), and the University of Hong Kong, with invaluable support from esteemed organizations deeply committed to advancing sustainable finance in the region.
Focusing on the Asian context, the workshops primarily encompass market updates and policy frameworks for sustainable finance, sustainability disclosure, financing Green and low-carbon transition in Asia, sustainable projects, the role of blended finance in decarbonizing infrastructure projects, biodiversity conservation and blue finance.
The second part to be held in Huzhou, Zhejiang Province of China, from June 27-28 in the form of the case sharing and field trip which will showcase China’s leading regional green finance reform and innovation pilot zone. This part of the event is co-hosted by CASI along with the Office of Huzhou Municipal People's Government and organized by the Beijing Institute of Finance and Sustainability, Huzhou Green Finance Development Service Center, together with the Huzhou Green Finance Institute.
The case study presentations will feature discussions facilitated by financial regulatory agencies and financial institutions, concentrating on the theme of China's sustainable finance innovation practices, centering on topics such as, transition finance, green finance innovations promoted by fintech, financial institutions' green finance reform practices.
The site visits focus on the issues of green and low-carbon transitions financial support, small and micro green industrial parks development, green infrastructure development, and biodiversity protection. Participants will be guided to the different routes for a field trip survey of Huzhou's green finance development.
