On August 6, 2024, the opening meeting of the project "Research on the Practice and Progress of Sustainable Information Disclosure of Listed Enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta — Based on the Tracking of Sample Companies in the CSI Yangtze River Delta Green Industry 50 Index", which was co-hosted by the Huzhou Green Finance Institute and China Securities Index Co., Ltd., was successfully held in Huzhou. The meeting focused on the practice and research of sustainable information disclosure of listed enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta region. In the meeting, first, the participants emphasized the importance of sustainable information disclosure for corporate development and investment in the opening remarks. Next, representatives shared key enterprise case studies and the basic situation of the index, and then experts discussed the upcoming work. Finally, enterprise representatives introduced the progress and future plans of their respective enterprises in sustainability.
The meeting provides valuable suggestions and support for research projects on sustainable information disclosure, and plays a positive role in promoting the sustainable development of listed enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta region and the whole country by setting up benchmarks.
On August 6, 2024, the opening meeting of the Project " Research on the Practice and Progress of Sustainable Information Disclosure of Listed Enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta — Based on the Tracking of Sample Companies in the CSI Yangtze River Delta Green Industry 50 Index", jointly conducted by the Huzhou Green Finance Institute (HZGF) and China Securities Index Co., Ltd., was successfully held in Huzhou.
The project " Research on the Practice and Progress of Sustainable Information Disclosure of Listed Enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta — Based on the Tracking of Sample Companies in the CSI Yangtze River Delta Green Industry 50 Index" aims to track the progress and performance of listed enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta region in terms of sustainable information disclosure. By summarizing the sustainable information disclosure efforts of companies in the Yangtze River Delta region, the study is expected to serve as a reference for the sustainable information disclosure efforts of companies across the country, and at the same time contribute practical experience to the development of international and domestic sustainable information disclosure standards.
Bai Yunwen, President of the Huzhou Green Finance Institute,Huang Dingwei, Deputy Director of Huzhou Government Office, Liu Wei, Deputy General Manager of China Securities Index Co., Ltd., Li Darui, Director of the Zhejiang Regional Department of the Shanghai Stock Exchange Market Development, Cheng Hongyue, Capacity Building Expert of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB), and Zhu Ling, Head of China Capital Market Business of Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), attended the meeting and delivered speeches. Guo Su, Board Secretary of Ningbo Sanxing Medical Electrical Co., Ltd., Shen Yi, from the Securities Affairs Department of Yongxing Special Material Technology Co., Ltd., Fan Changyong, General Manager of the Capital Operation Center of Tianneng Battery Group Co.,Ltd, and Wang Yongqing, Senior Analyst of the Innovation and Development Center of Hwabao WP Fund Management Co.,Ltd., and other representatives from enterprises and institutions participated in the meeting, discussed and shared their thoughts on sustainable information disclosure by listed companies in the Yangtze River Delta region. The meeting was chaired by Zhang Fang, Project Director of the Green Finance Empowerment Department of the Huzhou Green Finance Institute.

In the opening remarks, Director of the Huzhou Green Finance Institute, Bai Yunwen, expressed her gratitude to all the participating institutions for their support of the opening meeting, and hoped that the research could set a benchmark for listed companies in the Yangtze River Delta region and even the whole country, driving more enterprises to join the ranks of sustainable development. Deputy Director of Huzhou Government Office, Huang Dingwei also expressed his gratitude to all the experts and participants, and stressed the importance of the research in promoting sustainable development work.
In the project reporting session, representatives of the research group reported on the design ideas and preliminary research foundations of the study. Yu Xiao, the researcher of the Huzhou Green Finance Institute, introduced that the research will be based on the sample companies of the CSI Yangtze River Delta Green Industry 50 Index, and will be conducted from aspects such as the trend of sustainable information disclosure, the current status of corporate sustainable information disclosure, and key enterprise case studies. The representative of China Securities Index Co., Ltd. introduced the basic situation of the CSI Yangtze River Delta Green Industry 50 Index.
In the project discussion session, seven experts and representatives from ISSB, CDP, the Shanghai Stock Exchange, representative companies of the index sample, and investment institutions discussed the upcoming work of the research.
Guo Su, Board Secretary of Ningbo Sanxing Medical Electrical Co., Ltd., introduced the progress of sustainable development efforts of Ningbo Sanxing Medical Electrical Co., Ltd.. She pointed out that from the perspective of business, sustainable information disclosure has played a positive role in promoting the development of the enterprise’s overseas business; from the perspective of the capital market, sustainable information disclosure helps to enhance the enterprise’s investment value. Shen Yi, from the Securities Affairs Department of Yongxing Special Material Technology Co., Ltd., stated that Yongxing Special Material's sustainable development efforts have been recognized by suppliers, customers, and domestic and foreign investors, and Yongxing Special Material will continue to promote work related to sustainable development in the future. Fan Changyong, General Manager of the Capital Operation Center of Tianneng Battery Group Co.,Ltd, pointed out that as a battery manufacturing company, Tianneng is at a critical stage of low-carbon transformation, and promoting work related to sustainable development is crucial for Tianneng. This research is highly aligned with Tianneng's strategic development.
Cheng Hongyue, Capacity Building Expert of ISSB, pointed out that there are more export-oriented enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta region, which attach a high emphasis to sustainable information disclosure. Therefore, when facing international requirements and challenges, enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta region can more actively adapt to new trends and standards. Zhu Ling, Head of China Capital Market Business of CDP, expressed her recognition of the research and believed that the framework of the research is basically clear and complete.
This meeting focused on the latest progress in sustainable information disclosure of listed companies in the Yangtze River Delta region. Experts and representatives offered valuable suggestions and provided strong support for the smooth progress of the research.
